Welcome to St Cats!

Welcome to the St Cats family! We're thrilled you're joining our community. This page is designed to help new parents get up to speed on everything you need to know to have a great first season.

Step 1: Register Online

All registrations are completed online via MyClubMate. This is also where you'll pay your fees and manage your account throughout the season.

  • Register at qcsacats.myclubmate.com.au
  • Register a parent for the account
  • Add a player and complete all details carefully
  • Pay your registration fee to secure your spot
  • For the Early Bird discount, fees must be paid before the end of our second sign-on day

Step 2: Signon Days

Signon days are held in January/February. These are community events where you can pay fees in person, meet other families, and get all your questions answered. Check our Facebook page or contact the club for exact dates.

Step 3: Team Allocation

Once fees are paid, teams are allocated in March:

  • U6-U10: Team allocations will be allocated before training begins
  • U11+: Grading trials are held in February - watch for email notification with details
  • If you'd like your child placed with a friend, email rsq efd ghf @A? str tus cdb ab` tus str ./- opn rsq ghf ./- ab` uvt with both players' names and age group

Step 4: Training Begins

Training typically starts mid-March at Peter Lightfoot Oval. Sessions run Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday evenings. Your team coach will contact you to advise the specific day and time.

Step 5: Season Begins

The season typically kicks off in April. Games are on Fridays (evenings) and Saturdays (mornings):

  • U6-U8: Saturday mornings from 8am at Peter Lightfoot Oval
  • U11+: Home and away games. Check QCSA Fixtures for the draw and game times.

Equipment

What your child needs for the season:

  • Playing jersey: Provided by the club as part of registration
  • Shin guards: Mandatory for U6 and above (available from the canteen)
  • Football boots: Mandatory for U7 and above (joggers fine for U6 and Mini Cats)
  • Black shorts & club socks: Available from our online merchandise shop or at Wednesday evenings outside the canteen
  • Water bottle: Essential!

The QLD Government "Get Started" Voucher can be used at St Cats. Email the voucher to tus rsq efd ab` str uvt rsq efd rsq @A? str tus cdb ab` tus str ./- opn rsq ghf ./- ab` uvt or bring it to a signon day.

Parent Participation

St Cats is a community club run by volunteers. There is a Parent Participation Levy included with fees, which can be recouped by helping out during the season:

  • At least 2 field setups AND 1 additional task, OR 2 additional tasks
  • Additional tasks include: Working Bees, Photo Day, Presentation Day, Fundraising
  • Coaching and managing also count!
  • Register your participation using the QR Code on the back of the equipment room door

Canteen

The canteen is open 8am to 1pm on Saturdays during the football season. It's a great place to grab a bite, buy shin guards, and catch up with other families.

Insurance

Player insurance is included in your registration fees. The first point of call for any insurance claim is the QCSA Secretary. See the QCSA website for details.
