Juniors Program (Ages 7-13)
The Juniors program at St Cats is designed for players aged 7-13 years, running in line with the QCSA competition season. It's where players start developing real football skills, understanding team play, and building a deep love of the game.
Age groups Under 6 through Under 8 compete in an internal local competition, while Under 9 and above compete in the broader QCSA competition.

When Do Games Run?
Junior games run during the QCSA season, typically April through August. Game days are on Saturday.

Training
Training begins mid-March at Peter Lightfoot Oval. Sessions are run on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday evenings - your team coach will confirm your specific time.
What Equipment Is Needed?
- Shin guards are mandatory and can be pre ordered through our merchandise website or purchased at the canteen
- Football boots are mandatory for U7 and above
- For U6, any enclosed jogger is acceptable
- A team shirt is included in registration fees
- Black shorts and St Cats club are mandatory and can be pre ordered through our merchandise website or purchased at the canteen
Team Grading
Gradings are held for U11-U14 teams where we have multiple teams in an age group. Grading is completed by two club officials with direction from team coaches. If a player cannot attend grading, they will be placed in a team with space.
